I'm the first to admit it: I'm a movie snob. I hate watching bad movies. I hate watching movies that aren't well made. I can't understand why so many people would rather watch pure and mindless drivel. I know, I know..... "I just want something that doesn't make me think". Really? So you didn't appreciate movies that made you think a little bit? Maybe a plot twist like "The 6th Sense" or a whodunit like "Inside Man"? And the only reason I reference those movies is that they were fairly popular. There are sooooo many good movies out there. You just need to look a little bit to find them. I LOVE finding a diamond in the rough.
Anyway, you may notice that many of the ratings below are rather high. There is probably a reason for this... I tend to research movies before I watch them so that I don't end up upset (or in the case of "Napoleon Dynamite", visibly angry). Still, there were a few clunkers in there. Anyway, check out
rotten tomatoes
if you want to see a summary of all of the reviews from around the country. I've found this to be the best way to get a feel for the chance that a movie might be good.
