Live Weather Is Back

Created : 04/19/2008 12:39:41 AM

As you may know, my previous weather station died a painful death last month. I had been waiting for the manufacturer to send the replacement when I decided to go out and purchase the next model up (WMR968). Making my own weather site and connecting to the top of my website has really been a ton of fun and has a high coolness factor (at least it does for me and that is all that matters). The pool thermometer now reports back to the web server, which is nice.

Is "Humidity" Australian for "Temperature"? You may want to check the details a bit closer!

Ive noticed that it records a temp of 80-90s at about 3-6am in the morning. Which begs the question, what sort of hotness is going on in the backyard at that time of the morning?

Paul is being kind. On the geek-o-meter scale of 1-10, this is easily an 11 my friend.

If you'll remember correctly, Franken's dish would always (conveniently) lose reception after 3 minutes of airtime. That isn't terribly effective. And if you must know, I'm retaining water today.

+9.5 on the geek-o-meter. Why don’t you just pull an Al Frankin and mount the Weathermaster 5000 right to your body with a satellite uplink. Hell, you could bounce off the Intelsat Americas 5, Galaxy 10R and AMC 3 satellites on the Ku band transponders.
I sure hope you are not going to be tracking your basal temperature on that station as well. I have no interest in your cycle whatsoever.
