Pool and Solar Heater

Created on Wednesday, May 26, 2010        Bookmark and Share

Here are a few pics of our pool and solar heater. It was just opened so the deck has not been set up.

The Fafco solar heater is fantastic in that it will keep your pool five to ten degrees above what it would normally be. My wife and I are both wimps when it comes to the water and this pool makes it swimmable for us. The pool will even heat up when it is sunny but not much above 70. The highest I've seen it is 88 degrees. I opened the pool yesterday and in one single day the temp jumped from 62 in the morning to a high of 72 in the late afternoon. If you are reading this page in the summer months you can see the live pool temperature at the top of this website (more on how that is done here).

Here is a link to the manufacturer of my solar heater.
