I didn't realize it until today but I was published in the Buffalo News yesterday. You can read the whole article here.

You may want to read my blog about the main topic (a group of swingers holding a gathering at a local hotel).

Despite what some would have you believe, in the eyes of the law, marriage is a contract between two people. If some people choose to make their marriage into something that represents their belief in God, more power to them. However, this does not mean that the rest of us have to follow that belief. I find that the joy in marriage is that my wife and I can make it into anything we want it to be. It is ours alone. I may not understand how swingers have marriages like they do, but that is irrelevant as it is not my marriage. They have the right to seek their own happiness without having to be judged by people who claim a moral high ground.

More importantly, imagine how much better the world would be if we stayed out of everyone else’s bedrooms. If I really wanted a parade of holy men to weigh in on this subject, I could attend any one of their offerings on a Sunday. I know that several churches hold Mass in hotel conference rooms. I find many aspects of organized religion to be reprehensible. Can you imagine if people picketed these gatherings? Of course not, and the swingers should get the same respect.
