I couldn't think of a single topic to write about so I thought I'd throw out a grab bag.
- Are you like me in that at least once a week you go to google and then type in the page you actually meant to go to into the search box? Just a minute ago I went to google and then typed in cnn.com. I can see when people get to my site from a search engine and lots of people get here by searching for "muchgooder.com".
- I'm tired of the apologetic nature of our country. Lets take the David Letterman comment from last week about Sarah Palin's daughter. We all know that he was talking about her older daughter. Said daughter has been making the interview rounds so I consider her a public figure. I'm tired of the "family values" crowd thinking that they can push their way around. I heard an interview with a bunch of protesters that were picketing CBS and each and every one of them said that Letterman practically raped the Palin daughters. Yes, they used that word over and over again. I think rape victims would disagree with that.
- From time to time someone will be talking about father's day and then stop themselves and apologize to me. Please don't - I don't feel bad and neither should you.
- Believe it or not I've been married for a year. More on that this weekend (and some of you can get your comments ready).
- Rebecca likes to watch "lighter" tv shows when she is working out. The other day she had on "John and Kate plus 8" and I just happened to be in the basement at the same time. Let me get this straight - this show is an illustration of how aggravating parenting can be (not to mention have a b*** for a wife)? And this is desireable? I got stressed out just listening to it.
- Didn't Judas get a raw deal? After all, as the story goes Jesus knew it was coming and it was God's will. Someone had to be the bad guy, right? (credit to Christopher Hitchens for that one)
- It is June 19th and the pool isn't even 65 degrees as of this writing (the real-time temp is at the top of the page). I love the northeast but when you think about it we only get two or three months of good weather.
- I can't bring myself to twitter. It is bad enough that on facebook we're bombarded with the results of ridiculous "quizzes" or what is for dinner that night (or my pet peeve - LOL's. Are ya? Really?). Is anyone's life so interesting that they need to provide an update every 4 hours? Or worse, who is so desperate that they're paying attention?
- And finally, another quality link brought to you by muchgooder.com. This one is a neat little game. Do NOT play this from work. There is nothing controversial on the home page and it is a popular blog site that is virus-free.
Here
is the link. Check out the Hall of Fame! ;-)

Well "fan", thanks for stopping in - it has been a while. [
] Ok, I'll bite. First of all, the music on this page never starts on page load. You have to search it out and then hit "play" if you so desire. More importantly, it is never some crappy country song ;-). Same with the sushi guide - you have to go and find it (and for the record, that how-to guide gets a ton of traffic from google search as people want to know how to do this). [
] And finally, my "issue" with facebook and twitter is that they are so incredibly self-indulgent because they are broadcast for all to see. I know, I know - you can opt in and out of seeing someone's status. I just don't care what you're having for dinner or which character you are from the breakfast club. [
] And let me beat you to your next thought. I write a blog and I know that by definition that is self-indulgent. The difference is that I merely link to my blog from facebook. If you want to read more, you can click the link. In that sense you can decide when you want to opt-in :-). [
] And of course this is all in good fun. I do enjoy keeping track of what everyone is doing (except for the dinner stuff).

LOL! ha ha. I so couldn't help it, I really am laughing right now. You really crack me up. Reading what is in your head is more hilarious than watching the "Nazi Mom" show (AKA John hates Kate and they have 8). You smashed myspace because it plays music (but I see your muchgooder music in the corner of the screen.) You can't bash twitter cause you haven't moved on from facebook yet. You bothered me with "why aren't you on facebook already?" You bash facebook because we amuse ourselves with meaningless quizzes because we secretely think they are able to interpret the "real me" and you don't like reading about what we are making for dinner....hmmm, I did like your play-by-play sushi demonstration...but you must not have made that for dinner. Yet, you keep coming on to facebook. Chill dude. There are worse things in life. Lighten up! We love you and love to hear you bump your gums.
