A Little Bit About Me

Hi, welcome to my little corner of the internet.
The basics
My name is Adam and I am a software developer from Grand Island, New York. I married my wife Rebecca on June 21, 2008 in a wonderful ceremony in our back yard.
Why am I doing this
I resisted having a website for some time because it seemed to be rather self indulgent. However, I love to putter and the developer in me thought it would be fun to put something on the web. This site may not look like much but it is actually a fairly complicated application that allows me to post a new article without writing a lick of HTML. One of the cool things about having done all of this is that I discovered that I really do like to write.
A little about me
I would like to think that my interests are diverse and that this site is a reflection of those interests. I'm a huge geek when it comes to electronics - home theater, gadgets, weather station, etc. I'm a bit of a sports nut although that seems to fade a little bit every year. I do read a bit and my favorite topic is American History. I am an atheist (for lack of a better word) and a libertarian.

Thanks Al, I really appreciate your comments. Its funny that you wrote that because I was just lamenting the fact that I need to tweak the navigation and finish the "about me" section. I hope that you check in often and become a regular contributor on this site.
