After being pleasantly surprised with Eleven, we thought that we would give twelve a try. Well... hey, we went for it.
We spent the first half of the film just trying to figure out what was going on. I am one that watches movies pretty closely and I pride myself on taking everything in. I have to admit that I was lost. It took so much time to try to get the band back together that it ended up being a total mess. Once the gang was reunited it didn't get much better. The end of the first film was pretty cool in that it only showed you part of what was going on when you saw the rest of it everything made sense. In the sequel they tried the same trick but it just didn't work this time around.
In a way this reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean. At the end of the day I wasn't expecting much - I just wanted to see Depp be a pirate/Keith Richards. In this franchise I just want to see Clooney, Pitt, etc, be robbers and act really cool. It just didn't work for me this time around.
